More Edible lawns In Rego Park

Some would look at this front lawn with its lovely cherry tomatoes growing and say this must be a home in Brooklyn Heights or Park Slope but no it's in Rego Park, Queens. Right on Alderton Street.  And, this smart family used shelving brackets to support their tomatoes. Talking about re-use, how cool is that! I just love my neighborhood.

Green Pepper Heaven

Okay, so we took three months to grow one green pepper and I was thinking what the heck should I do with it now that I have it? Then my daughter said how about green peppers and eggs? And I thought, yes.  And then for lunch, I mixed it with some fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and crab meat. And for dinner...

Salads For Breakfast, Lunch, & Dinner

For the last several weeks the West family has been eating crab salads. Everything except for the crab comes from our farm. The snow peas, string beans, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, and green pepper all come from the West Farm. Now I know why so many of our friends have turned a small piece of land into their own edible garden.
